What is the status of the Epiphany-IV, Parallella boards using them, and the eLink interconnects?
Is it that, unless the situation existing today at Adapteva and/or the Parallella ecosystem changes dramatically, the Epiphany-IV simply is never going to be available on Parallella boards for low volume purchases made by individuals? Is it that the existing stock of Epiphany-III v1.0 Parallella boards remains unsold? Or is it just that progress is being made, though quietly and slowly and that eventually sometime in the future Parallella boards featuring Epiphany-IV (or perhaps newer) will be made available?
Also what is the status of the eLink interconnects? Why aren't the cables available for purchase? Is it just the cables or is the hardware present on the existing Parallella boards unable to correctly support the eLink fabric?
I get that making statements about what might happen in the future is really problematic but I would really like to get some sort of feeling about the general direction of development and if it's at all likely to see any updated Epiphany chip on a Parallella, or other sort of board aimed at low-volume / single purchase, beyond the respin of the Epiphany-III Parallella board that is being discussed right now.
Thanks!
