Since announcing the “One board for one C function” offer for the Parallel Architecture Library (PAL), the number of contributors to this project has grown from 5 to 26! Wow!!
Still, given how many people PAY to do assembly programming recently (TIS-100), you would think we could do even better.:-)
Some of the key contributions so far:
Next week, Ola plans to have a snapshot ready showing the code size and runtime of the whole library running on ARM, x86, and Epiphany hardware.
If you have been delaying starting with the Parallella because you are missing function “X”, this is your chance to tell everyone. Take a look at the API. If something is missing, open an issue here.

There are more collaborators than that. For example, I don’t show up on the collaborators list although I modified code and submitted a pull request. There are others in the same situation. I’m not sure why github doesn’t recognize it. For example, you can see one addition in the history: https://github.com/parallella/pal/commits/master/src/image/p_sobel3x3.c
If someone could explain what went wrong, I’ll submit more code.
It might have something to do with the following. Others have had the same problem.
