i beg you please it's 2 years that HDMI version is not updated give it a shot please.
Last time i tryed to install HDMI version I tryed to do the update (sudo apt-get upgrade / update) and i ended with a broken and impossible to fix system.
I'm not able to use headless my fault ok ... but i thik that is not taking too much time to provide an updated image for HDMI version ... Maybe 2 days of work that may be spent once every 1 year or meybe 2.
( PS : May be usefull if you are not going to update hdmi to remove that ? )

Is there a reason that you upgrade to a non LTS version of ubuntu ? ... Isn't better if you stick to LTS ?

Lot of useless question and crying for nothing, sorry for that , but when i bought this board i understood that was meant to be for everyone so i'm simply asking to spend some times for who have not enough skill to build his own system and maybe invest a small amount of time to provide a "stand alone" version if it's possible.

From a person that in the last year repeat the process of installing HDMI version (even try to combine Headless and HDMI with no result) like 5 times and ended with an unusable system (update process reported a dpkg broken status and i wasn't able to find a fix for that).

Should i wait for a comestible version of the OS/Premade image or should i sell my board because was not meant to be sold to me ?

Just a consideration.
Sorry for wasting your time on reading this useless thoughts.
Thanks for your grate work on this device.
Good luck.

I built the oh fpga with hdmi support. it works just fine but now I have to update to the latest kernel driver etc so I would hold off till I have proven the fpga with the latest driver. if you want to play go to (RECOMMENDED) https://github.com/peteasa/parallella for the whole environment or go to (build your own fpga) https://github.com/peteasa/parallella-fpga for just the oh fpga or if you just want to try the compiled fpga look in (bitstream on its own but dont forget to rebuild kernel and device tree) https://github.com/peteasa/examples/tre ... bitstreams.
