Troubleshooting hdmi board connected to 12v

Postby shawn » Wed Jun 17, 2015 2:46 pm

I have a hdmi parallella board that I purchased a few weeks ago from Amazon. A couple of days ago I was moving the board and all the stuff that is attached to it and mixed up a couple of power supplies that had the same barrel plug. I plugged a 12v - 1a power supply into the parallella (sadly my router had the same plug). At this point it does not show any indication of working when plugged into the correct power supply. I checked the F1 fuse and it appears to be fine(well I think I checked it correctly by using continuity check without power and voltage check with power, using a multimeter). Are there any steps that might be recommended for me to resurrect the board?

Thanks,
Shawn

You can try to check the various voltage rails but :
- The PMICs have probably been obliterated
- The HDMI chip which stands on the 5V rail is also probably gone
