Erm... care to remind, that space applications VERY often require radiation steadiness, and conditions of technology used for their production (feature size >0.1 mkm, for example) seems almost mutually exclusive with device like Epiphany... Though, who knows what future holds .

I will point out that the radiation requirements vary dramatically depending on whether or not the vehicle passes through the Van Allen belts. I suspect LEO applications could work, and suborbital operations would probably be fine.

I wouldn't tie it into anything life-threatening, though.

Actually, there was such a project that was made specifically for smartphones. It also has been tested and works on the Raspberry Pi, so I don't see why not it wouldn't work for the Parallella board.
