Low Power options

Postby theover » Fri May 16, 2014 5:57 pm

Hi forumites and Adaptiva,

Reading along with the forum items that interest me, I got the thought that maybe, instead of to begin with claiming the cutting edge, it's an interesting idea to direct some attention toward the *Low Power* use of the still interesting Parallella board.

I've gotten some doubts about the FPGA programming and some of the tools connecting up nicely with the existing Open Source community, so to steer away from a company idea that some would consider to narrow minded, and to un-realistic in it's purposes (and I don't mean the founder), but still can see use for a well working Zedboard replacement, presuming all parts work as it appears to be the case with most clients who received their board already , and it's interesting to have 16 (or more) powerful cores, programmable in C, and that can be switched on and off, just like the HDMI head, etc.
