basic stuff for a linux desktop use

Hi,

as a backer of this great project I would like to know the exact requirements for using these parallela monster as a destop linux machine: I mean, which power adapter to use? what is its jack dimensions? which sd card? There will be a linux image to be downloaded I guess...when? Moreover, there will be a list of verified peripherals?

Hi Massimiliano,

The detailed hardware specifications have not been published yet but the power consumption will be under 5 watts and I expect it will use a 5v DC supply, but I wouldn't advise you to buy anything until more/firmer details are available.

A list of verified peripherals is definitely something that we, the community, should look to compile so as to aid those making purchasing decisions. Thanks for reminding me of this!

I know we are so far from May so actually we got time...it`s just that I can`t wait to use this board....just please tell us asap the essential things like the power adapter `cause we all know that shipping is peraphs the most uncertain thing after love
